About Cape Fear Marina

We’re a private marina in Wilmington, NC, and we’re committed to being different from other docks. Cape Fear Marina was started in the late 1990s by Paul and Patricia Bennett. The proximity of the marina complimented their yacht service business located at the same site. In 2020, OffTheHook purchased Bennett Brothers Yachts. OffTheHook continues to offer the same level of professional and personal service the Bennetts were known for. When you choose Cape Fear Marina, you’re choosing a family-centered community of boat owners just a short drive from downtown Wilmington. Get away from the crowded docks on the beaches and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Cape Fear River.

Renn Williamson has been on boats for his entire life. He grew up fishing with his father near Raleigh and then went on to pursue a career in the boating industry. Renn spent time in the Virgin Islands running fishing charters and has his captain’s license for up to 50 ton vessels. He loves being out on the water and working on boats. In 2019, he joined Cape Fear Marina in Wilmington, NC as the dockmaster. Renn loves welcoming new boat owners into the community and offering great customer service.
